Dying Art...

I just wanted to take a moment to talk about hand-written notes. I recently came across a fourteen-year-old boy (from the United States) who did not know how to address an envelope for mailing. He literally had no idea how to go about sending a piece of mail. I was completely stunned and saddened. There is so much technology going on here, that the time of written cards and notes is dying away.

I think this falls on parents, teachers, and all adults to keep this past-time going with future generations. There is really nothing like holding a piece of paper in your hand that someone has written on. That person's marks are forever embedded on that paper... It has a special feeling that e-mail can just never have.
(Besides all that... getting mail is FUN!) :)

I admit that I am not the best at remembering birthdays... But, I can promise that my son will know how to send a thank you note and how to write a letter. (When he's old enough to write, that is...) :)

Thanks for listening... and send someone a card today!!!

Sun-shiney Day!

A customer recently asked if I could make the "cupcake cutie" card in yellow-orange instead of pink... I love it! I'm actually not a big pinky person... I just love all sorts of colors. This yellow version is super-happy looking! So cheery ;)

Speaking of happy yellows... Did you know that the color "Mimosa" is the color of the year??? Its true!
Read about it here! ;D
